CRAFTS AREA - New This Year!

A children's craft area will be located at the Fine Arts Showcase, where children will be able to create their own masterpieces (while supplies last). ADULT CLASSES TOO!! Materials courtesy of VOILA Fine Art Gallery.

Henri Matisse inspired Construction Paper Cut-out Designs - Children will be introduced to Henri Matisse with a brief biography, and shown examples of his most famous "paintings" (construction paper art). They will be able to design and create their own Matisse inspired collages.

Georgia O'Keefe inspired Watercolor Pencil Paintings - Children will be introduced to Georgia O'Keefe with a brief biography, and shown examples of her famous flower paintings. They will be taught how to use watercolor pencils and can create their own Georgia O'Keefe inspired work of art.

BALLOON ANIMALS by Lon Cerel - Friday, Saturday & Sunday

                              
Holding the Guinness Book record for World's Fastest Balloon Animal Maker, Lon Cerel has three times been voted RI's Best Party Entertainment by the readers of The RI Parents' Paper! Lon is a keen combination of performer, comedian, and magician - the total entertainer. He has been working audiences with skill, wit, and a love of his craft for more than 18 years. Lon has written a how-to for all of us who wish we could make poodles, elephants, and such out of balloons the way Lon and some of his fellow artists do. Lon Cerel's How to Blow up Animals: a Beginner's Guide to Fun with Balloons, and is generously donating $2 from each book sold to Builders Helping Heroes, the RI Builders Association's charity which provides construction assistance to Rhode Island families of military personnel injured or killed in armed conflict since September 11, 2001.
