Art of the Ocean State

The 2nd Annual “Art of the Ocean State” gallery brought to you by the RI State Council on the Arts, with support from the Visual Arts Educators and Students at Portsmouth High School.

Art plays such a pivotal role in your home. Whether you are a first time-homeowner, decorating your new space or re-inventing an existing one you’ve lived in for years – art will shape, define, and most importantly develop a meaningful connection that makes your home truly yours. Art of the Ocean State captures the spirit of talented artists who work, live, and create in studios throughout Rhode Island.

Easily Purchase Original Tax-Free Art

You are able to purchase beautiful art in the state of Rhode Island Tax Free: All original and limited edition works of art sold in the State of Rhode Island is exempt from state sales tax.

All of the art will be reasonably priced at: $35, $75 or $150 price points. All of the art will be framed and small enough to compliment any room in your home. Buy it on-site and take it with you when you leave the Home Show.

All sales will be made directly to the artist via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or CashApp.

Tour the Gallery

Tour the Art of the Ocean State Gallery at the 74th RI Home Show, and purchase original works, including photography and paintings from Rhode Island Artists. All work celebrates the beauty of the state of Rhode Island.

Support students and emerging local artists:

This year the gallery will feature works from student studying visual arts in our local high schools, aspiring to be professional artists. All student artwork will be $35. You’ll be able to say you owned one of their pieces before they were famous.
