Guided by the concept of “outdoor rooms,” the exhibit features six distinct spaces, from cottage gardens and formal topiaries to native pollinator plantings. At the center of the display sits a restored 1938 Ford 1½ ton truck, a tribute to Central Nurseries’ 75th anniversary that honors the company’s hardworking roots while anchoring the garden in history and character.
Each “room” shows how outdoor spaces can function like the interior of a home, with areas for gathering, dining, relaxing, or gardening, all designed to reflect personal style and environmental conditions. At the end of the garden, a retail space offers perennials, select shrubs, houseplants, pots, garden accents, and garden themed décor and gifts. The Garden Experience delivers inspiration and the chance to bring a piece of it home.

Depending on the time of year, we have three to four crews of our own workers operating at any time. We don’t seek to be the biggest roofing company, we strive to be the BEST. We truly partner with our clients to execute precise and accurate roof installations (and repairs) that fulfill the desired goals.
We’re licensed and fully insured. We also offer a leading 10-year installation warranty, which reflects the utmost confidence we have in our craftsmanship.

The family-owned garden center, nursery, and landscape construction company offers a range of services from design and installation to maintenance and interior plant displays. Due to its versatility, Central Nurseries eliminates the need for multiple subcontractors, which is an added value to its clients. In addition, Central Nurseries has a nearly 100-acre tree farm in Chepachet and an expansive garden center in Johnston, both of which are open to the public. The Johnston location yields an array of annuals, edibles, perennials, flowering shrubs, evergreens and shade trees in addition to a vast selection of fertilizers, soils and lawn care products. The garden center also stocks seasonal gifts and decor, wreaths, pottery, and other garden accessories. Also, the Johnston location hosts a variety of workshops and informational classes. Even if you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for, the grounds are sure to spark some inspiration, and Central Nurseries’ knowledgeable staff can answer any questions you think up along the way.
We are excited to collaborate with the Rhode Island Builders Association and join their efforts by displaying our playhouses in the Rhode Island Home Show! The craftsmanship, hard work, and skill of these school students will shine in their designs. After the Home Show, these playhouses will be moved to Bryant University and concealed in anticipation of the official Rosemary’s Wish Kids Playhouses reveal. This heartwarming event brings many surprises for the parents and children as they see these playhouses for the first time at the big reveal. Here, students meet the child and family for the first time and experience their joy, laughter, and excitement! After this momentous occasion, these playhouses get delivered to the child’s yard, where they can enjoy them for years to come. Our playhouses’ impact on these children’s lives is truly a wish granted!
